What an exciting day for our Grade 4 students at Kinosoo Climbing Park! Students challenged themselves on the climbing structure, soaring through the park with confidence and courage even when things seemed difficult or scary. They also experienced the thrill of the giant swing, cheered on their classmates, and enjoyed golfing at the driving range.

🚒🔥 Grade One had an incredible time visiting Cold Lake Fire-Rescue last Friday! Our students enjoyed a hands-on learning experience and had the opportunity to explore the fire hall, ask questions, and learn about the important work firefighters do in our community.
A heartfelt thank you to the firefighters at Cold Lake Fire-Rescue for welcoming the Grade One students from Holy Cross and making this visit both educational and memorable. We are so grateful for your time, kindness, and service! ❤️🧑🚒🚒

On June 21, Lakeland Catholic School Division proudly joins communities across Canada in recognizing and celebrating National Indigenous Peoples Day.
Today, we honour and celebrate the rich cultures, histories, languages, traditions, and contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Peoples. We recognize the many ways Indigenous Peoples have enriched our communities, our province, and our country.
As a Catholic school division, our faith calls us to recognize the God-given dignity of every person. We remain committed to fostering respectful relationships, learning from Indigenous perspectives, and supporting truth and reconciliation within our schools and communities.

On October 1, 2025, our Grade 4 scientists carved a pumpkin, sealed it in a jar, and began observing what would happen over time. We watched for 9 months...
Today, we documented something amazing, as FOUR pumpkin sprouts are growing from the soil where Pumpkin Jack decomposed!
This hands-on experiment helped us explore our science unit on matter, showing that matter isn't lost; it changes form. As the pumpkin was broken down by decomposers and returned to the soil, it provided nutrients for new plants to grow from its very own seeds. Science in action is amazing!
