With fall approaching and Alberta weather changing quickly, it’s important for families to stay prepared for bus delays and cancellations. Student safety comes first, and these tools help parents stay informed.
Parents are encouraged to sign up for the Here Comes the Bus app, which provides live updates on your child’s bus location and arrival times.
How to sign up for Here Comes the Bus:
✅ Download the Here Comes the Bus app or visit herecomesthebus.com
✅ Click the Sign Up button
✅ Enter school code 94514 and click Next, followed by Confirm
✅ Complete the User Profile box
✅ Under My Students, click Add. Enter your child’s last name and student ID number (found on your child’s most recent report card or in SchoolEngage)
✅ Once you confirm your information, you’re ready to begin!

Due to heavy fog this morning, all buses will be delayed by at least 30 minutes. Thank you for your patience as we work to ensure students arrive safely.
Following the Liturgy, Father Nong visited each class at Holy Cross Elementary to bless the Prayer Tables and share words of encouragement with the students. He wished them success “as they grow this year in age, wisdom, and grace,” reminding them to keep praying and learning about Jesus.
Happy Feast Day of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross! Father Nong joined Holy Cross Elementary to celebrate this special day in prayer and reflection.
Our students are excitedly training and getting ready for the upcoming mountain bike race. Way to go, riders — keep up the great work! 💪✨

This Sunday at Our Lady of the Assumption Parish in Cold Lake our Holy Cross teachers were warmly welcomed by the parish community and received a special blessing for the year ahead. It was a meaningful way to begin the school year rooted in faith and fellowship.
We were also joined by Trustees Mary Anne Penner and Vicky Lefebvre, who celebrated alongside us in recognition of the blessing of Catholic education.

Community Connection
Today we celebrate the Feast of Saint Teresa of Calcutta, whose life reminds us that God’s presence can be found in simple, everyday acts. Her words, ‘Do small things with great love,’ will guide our faith journey from 2025–2029 as we live out this message in our schools and communities.
