🚒🏛️Gratitude in Action at Holy Cross Elementary
Students at Holy Cross Elementary recently had the opportunity to express heartfelt thanks to the dedicated team members from the City of Cold Lake who provided swift support during an unexpected facilities matter over the Christmas break.
Mayor Bob Mattice and Fire Chief Jeff Fallow joined students as they presented handmade cards on behalf of Holy Cross and shared their appreciation. Lakeland Catholic School Division also formally acknowledged the outstanding response and care provided by the City of Cold Lake and Cold Lake Fire-Rescue.
Trustee Michaud, Superintendent Sheldon Germain, and Deputy Superintendent of System Excellence Jody Seymour were present to extend gratitude on behalf of the Division and to recognize the strong partnership that helps ensure our schools remain safe and supported.
We are grateful for the responsiveness, professionalism, and community care shown in service of our students.

Holy Cross will be providing a hot lunch, free of charge, to all students each Wednesday in March. Plan to still pack snacks for other time throughout the day. If your child would prefer not to eat the provided lunch, please still send them with a lunch. If you have any questions please contact Mr. Staff at zstaff@lrcssd.ca

February 25th: Caesar Salad, Roasted Succulent Chicken, Lemon Roasted Red Potatoes, Garlic Bread, Cookies
March 4th: Caesar Salad, Homemade Glutenfree Meatballs with gravy, Mashed Potatoes, Buns and Butter, Nutfree Brownie
March 11th: Caesar Salad, Chicken Alfredo, Penne Noodles, Garlic Bread
March 18th: BBQ Chicken, Mashed Potatoes and Gravy., Corn Niblets, Garlic Bread, Nutfree Cookies
March 25th: Easter meal - Baked ham, scalloped potatoes, dinner rolls, salad.

Weather Update – Buses Cancelled – Schools Remain Open
Lakeland Catholic schools will remain open tomorrow.
Safety is always our top priority, and instructional learning remains our focus. While schools are open, there may be some operational limitations if staff members are unable to safely travel due to road closures or hazardous conditions.
Students who attend will participate in meaningful learning activities; however, regular instruction may be adjusted depending on staffing levels.
We recognize that road conditions can vary across our region. If families feel it is unsafe to travel, please make the best decision for your situation and inform your school.
Thank you for your continued support and commitment to safety.
