Cheering on our Coyotes on their first Triple-ball games of the season against Ecole Voyageur this afternoon.


We had our monthly assembly earlier this week. As part of that we celebrated our Custodians for National Custodians Day and put Coyotes of the Month. We also celebrated a student who put other students needs first.

On Thursday students recognized The National Day for Truth & Reconciliation by participating in lots of activities and wearing their orange shirts.








Today Holy Cross was lucky enough to have an Indigenous Dance Group come and share traditional dances with our school community. We ended our time with a school wide round dance. We are grateful to have learned from these knowledge women.

Holy Cross welcomed Roger Dallaire to our school for a mini concert for our French Immersion students. Roger shared stories through music and song. The students and staff raved about how much they enjoyed the concert. Thank you to ACFA (The Association Canadienne Francaise de l'Alberta) for sponsoring this presentation. @governement of Alberta @alberta culture days @acfabonnyville.






In 2ER students have been learning that objects are made up of various properties and you can use those properties to describe the object. Today they learned that one property they can use to describe an object is length. Students used non-standard measurement to measure objects in the classroom.






Grade 6EP has been studying the Scientific Method in Science. They participated in a mini science fair this week to test their hypothesis and make observations!

We wanted to inform you that our Cold Lake School's are currently experiencing a power outage, and our phone and internet lines are also down. Despite these challenges, please rest assured that water is still running, and our students are safe, enjoying the natural light in the classrooms.
ATCO is aware of the issue and not been able to provide an estimated time to restore the power. We will send out a notification as soon as we are updated on new information. If you have any concerns you can call Division Office at 780-826-3764.
Busing could experience delays if traffic lights are still not functioning as per usual.
