We have the best custodians! Happy Custodians Day.

Congrats to Talia, Freya and Evan for placing at the LSAA Mountain Bike race on September 25th. All our students showed exceptional skill and we are so proud they represented Holy Cross Elementary

October: The Month of the Most Holy Rosary
During October, the Catholic Church invites us to pray the Holy Rosary. This beautiful devotion draws us closer to Christ through the intercession of His Blessed Mother, guiding us in grace.

November HL is on hold until further information on ATA Job Action is known.
Hot lunch for November is now open

No School for students and staff today.

In September, our Lakeland Catholic schools spent time reflecting on the Catholic Social Teaching of Human Dignity—reminding us that every person is created in God’s image and deserves respect, care, and compassion.
As October begins, our focus turns to The Common Good. This teaching calls us to look beyond ourselves and work together so that every person has the chance to thrive.

Just a reminder there is no school September 29 & 30th for students.

Today Holy Cross recognized the National Day for Truth & Reconciliation. We welcomed Dani Moore to grade 6 to talk to the kids about tying of tobacco pouches to the fence and a blessing from an Elder.
Tomorrow we encourage staff and students as we recognized The National Day for Truth & Reconciliation. 🪶

Priority 1 and Priority 3: In Physical Education and Wellness, students begin each class with reminders about respect—for themselves, for others, and for the environment. By living out this respect in their words and actions, they put into practice the Catholic Social Teaching of the Dignity of the Human Person—recognizing that every person is special, loved by God, and worthy of care.

Today Holy Cross Ran for Terry and many others. We raised $250 for the Marathon of Hope and Cancer Research. We are so proud of our Holy Cross students and staff.

LSAA Mountain Bike Race it today! We are cheering on our Mountain BIke Team! Go Coyotes Go!

Mercy Day is today! Please support our foster child Mercy by bringing a donation of $1. Thank you for your support.

Today, two of our three Lakeland Catholic Schools in Cold Lake, received concerning phone threats. Out of an abundance of caution, St. Dominic Elementary School, Holy Cross Elementary School and Assumption Jr/Sr High School moved into Emergency Response Procedures.
All students and staff are safe, and our emergency protocols were followed with care and professionalism. We are especially thankful to the RCMP for their diligent response, ongoing support, and clear guidance as we worked together to keep everyone safe. We continue to work in collaboration with them.
We are grateful for the compassion shown across our school communities.
