Our Wellness Warriors and Youth Ministry leadership groups have decided to hold a Christmas Dance for students on Friday, December 15th during the lunch hour. Be sure to "Dress Your Best" and join us for some holiday happiness. Admission to the dance will be $1 or a non-perishable food item donation. All proceeds will go to the Food Bank this holiday season.

Christmas fundraiser update:
We appreciate everybody’s patience as we have been working hard with Staples trying to get the orders. We just collected all of the orders and will be handing them out to the students today. All Christmas orders should be sent home today.
**IMPORTANT: if you ordered canvases, they have not been collected and sent home with your child. There was a delay in processing, and we are hoping to have them by the end of this week at the latest.
If you are missing anything, please email Pacholycross@gmail.com

Grade one had PJ and gingerbread decorating on Friday.

Our Social Justice Project for Advent is "10 Days of Giving" in support of the Cold Lake Food Bank. The goal is for the school to collect the same number of items as students in the school which is 405. From Dec 11-15 and Dec 18-22 we hope staff and students will donate food items to help us reach our goal and support those in need.

Christmas is nearly here! And last night, our students put on a show that truly celebrates the Christmas season!

Help for the Holidays from our Family Outreach Worker, Mrs. Mills

We have another From Student to Teacher feature... Teiha Thompson!
Teiha attended Lakeland Catholic Schools in Cold Lake and Bonnyville! She is now a teacher at Holy Cross Elementary!
"LCSD has always held a special spot in my heart! I have a lot of great memories from my time at St.Dominic Elementary School as well as Assumption Jr/Sr High School. Having aspired to be a teacher as far back as I can remember, I wanted to return to the district to positively impact students’ lives just like my teachers had done for me. Staying close to my family has been a great bonus too!"

Our next From Student to Staff feature is... Rachelle Poirier!
Rachelle is an administrative assistant at Holy Cross Elementary! She attended Lakeland Catholic Schools growing up and is a Assumption Jr/Sr High School graduate!
“Lakeland Catholic is part of our family story. My dad was a school board member, and my mother worked as a custodian and a student assistant at three different LCSD schools while I was growing up. Both my sisters are substitute teachers for the division. When the opportunity to work as an administrative assistant became available, I knew it was going to be the perfect job for my family and myself. Every day I feel blessed and grateful to be part of the Lakeland Catholic family.”

C22 is delayed this afternoon due to mechanical issues.

Tomorrow is Mercy Day! Bring $1 for Mercy and dress like a teacher! (Maybe a few teachers will dress like the students!)

The office will be open during interviews to pay school fees. We accept debit, cheque and cash. Sorry no credit is taken at the office. Please bring exact amount.
Kindergarten fees are $10.00
Grades 1-6 are $20.00

To wrap up Métis week, Mrs. MacNiven’s kindergarten class enjoyed some homemade bannock and even made their own butter from whipping cream. It was delicious!
